  20. Hello. Congratulations on your web site. Xolos are very unique dogs, even here in Mexico they are very expensive, because the breed almost became extinct. Theese have a very unique story. Turns out that they acording to the aztecs Xolos where the souls companions in the after life. So every child have a dog, when the dog die, he would be waiting for his master in the after life as a loyal companion in the journey across the Mictlan. Some historians said that the owner have to kill his dog but not every ones agrees. Greetings from Mexico. Thank you so so much for bringing one of the best thing from my country.

  21. Had forgotton of this breeds existance until a random bit of fun with a breed selector page suggested them and I now remember just how stunning they are! I`m just getting in to showing with my bassets now so maybe down the track they might be one to consider, their personality and activity needs sound perfect for me.

  22. Thank you for sharing your beautiful dogs. I have been a long time admirer of this breed…..just breath taking!!!!!! I wish you many years of success with them! :-)

  23. I wish you all the very best with your beautiful animals and look forward to seeing your progress.
    cheers
    Allison

  26. Just wanted to pop by and say your dogs are STUNNING! Thank you for introducing the Xolo breed to Australia. Also thank you for all your efforts you have done to get the ANKC to change their rules to recognize all pedigrees from recognized overseas bodies must be accepted as they are. You have opened the doorway for many breeds!

  27. Greetings!!! What lovely and charming doggies. Further to you of successes in cultivation and at exhibitions. Yours faithfully, Angela.

  28. I was so excited to see the amazing Xoloitzcuintli in Australia. I still have the breed book of dogs where I first saw this attractive breed around the age of 14 (now 41). I just want to congratulate you for bringing this breed to our shores.

  29. Just like to wish you all the best. What a fantastic job you are doing with this unique breed. Love the site.

  30. Hi Jacqui & Colin
Just a note to say I was so thrilled to have met you. When I got the local paper what a surprise…. a great picture of Naca & Taha, congratulations on a pair of beautiful dogs
    Cheers Sue,
(I was with my grand children Fergus & Harriet) sorry about the awful wind Albany hopefully better next time you come over.

  31. I am astounded by this wonderful anjelic breed.
I commend you for all your hard work in getting the Xolo recognised in Australia and for your no nonsence attitude to keeping the health issues of this breed at bay.
I also had a new breed recognised in Australia with the ANKC (The Canadian Eskimo Dog) unfortunatly I had lots of problems with the people I purchased the 1st 2 breeding dogs from, I was so devistated by what they did I choose not to continue.
I truly wish you all the very best for the future with your wonderful fur/skin kids………….

  32. I located for now on Facebook and Sergio Aguilera R and webpage Xolo`s is Xolo´s, xolitos y acompañados, amigos canófilos, A.C., And include your website there

  33. I promote the breed since 1996 xolo

  34. I am really interested and facinated in this typical breed and i think they just look amazing, i just can`t wait till they have puppies :)
    with regards Maddyson

  35. I am truly fascinated by this breed and wish you all the luck in the world in promoting it here in Australia. Just love the athletic look – wonder how they would go at dog sports such as obedience, agility and flyball? I have a Lagotto boy from the first litter born in Australia and have subsequently added two female Lagotti to our family. Will check in now and again to see how everything is going. Regards, Noella.

  36. Hello! I from Ukraine! With the great pleasure walked around pages of your site. Very beautiful dogs. I wish you successes at exhibitions and in breed cultivation. Yours faithfully, Angela.

  37. Hi Jacqi, I met you at the pet day in Kelmscott ( I`m Shannon`s Mum). What an awsome job you have done on your website, this gives people a wonderful introduction to a rare & beautiful breed.

  38. I picked up a Xolo in a shelter and love him! He also came with parvo but we got that fixed. Other than that his skin is in good condition and would like to keep it that way. What soap and lotions should I use or stay away from?

  39. Hello Jacqi, Just going through your site. The dogs have grown so much. They are such solid dogs wit trusting eyes. Cant wait till they have pups. Gaye

  40. So good to see some Xolos in Australia. I have admired this breed for some time. I have always had the impression that they would have similar temperments to akitas – aloof, protective, curious, intelligent. If I had room for more dogs I would definately want one! Alas, two akitas is it for now.
Keep up the great breeding program!

  41. Amazing breed, thankyou for bringing this breed into the country for all Aussies to enjoy in the future!

  42. That was great catching up with you again Jacqi, and I must say this is a very impressive website. I didn`t know you had all these hidden talents.I rang Lynn but there was no answer,I`ll try again tonight.
    Take care,
    till next time,

    Doug
    xx

  43. Congratulation on your two beautiful Xolos. Your website is wonderful just like this breed. I saw my first Xolos at a dog show in Vancouver Canada two years ago and was taken back by it`s beauty. Being a poodle breeder seeing a hairless dog is a delight. Best of wishes for the future of these dogs in Australia.

  44. Hi Jacqi, I enjoyed reading about your new breed to Australia and hope they turn out to be all that you hoped for. I was reading about your career involvement in training and working with Passive Alert and Active Alert Dogs. I don`t know the difference and thought it would be interesting to be able to read more about that on your site.

  45. Stumbled across your website and boy is this breed different and facinating. Goodluck with them both! You certainly have a very colourful history with dogs, keep up the good work.

    kind regards

    Louisa

  49. Hi,
Congratulations on bringing such a gorgeous looking dog to Australia. I have always considered adopting a Chinese Crested, but it seems it could have a serious competitor with the Xolos!!
They are a beautiful looking dog and I can`t wait to see the puppies that they will have.
I hope that these dogs will be a relatively common member of the dog show community in years to come!!

  50. What a fasinating breed, a credit to you.
Good luck with the first show. Looking forward to see how they go…………..would love to see a hairy one!

Good luck with them, you have done so much for the breed already, i wish you all the success in the world

  54. What a fascinating breed! Great info – & sound common sense in the website to. Good luck with them – they would do really well in the Ozi heat (with sunscreen of course!) 58. Hi Jacqi,

Your website is really professional. Great web page and great photos. It is awesome to have xolos in Australia which is a rare breed. I wish you all the very best and looking forward to your success in breeding this type of breed. Hopefully, in the near future you will have toy xolos in your line of breeding which I am very interested to own one. Great work, Jacqi.

  59. Great web page!Love the photos of the dogs and look forward to hearing of their progression into dog shows.

  60. Hi, what an amazing dog and how fortunate you are to own not one but two of these absolute gems. I could wish to own one of these beauties but as an ordinary dog loving “at home mum” I imagine it will be a long time before there are any pups available here in Australia for a “pet” home. Wishing all the best with your breeding.
